Troubleshooting, Gulf edition.

Heat, grey-import charging standards and no factory service network. These are the fixes members verified on their own cars.

Owner-to-owner guidance, not official Xiaomi service documentation. Anything involving high-voltage components belongs with a qualified EV technician.

DC charger rejects the car

Session fails a few seconds after plugging into a CCS2 charger.

  1. 01Confirm the adapter is seated fully on both ends before starting the session
  2. 02Restart the session from the operator app rather than the charger screen
  3. 03Set a charge limit below 100% — some units abort on an unbounded request
  4. 04If it still fails, try a lower-power stall; several 150 kW+ units are known-incompatible

Heat warning or reduced power

Battery temperature alert after fast charging in summer.

  1. 01Pause charging for 10–15 minutes and let the pack cool with the car awake
  2. 02Charge in the early morning or in a shaded/basement stall from June to September
  3. 03Precondition while still plugged in before driving off
  4. 04Repeated alerts below 40°C ambient are worth a workshop scan

Phone projection drops

Maps and audio disconnect mid-drive.

  1. 01Use a certified data cable, not a charge-only cable
  2. 02Disable phone battery optimisation for the projection app
  3. 03Forget and re-pair the car in Bluetooth settings
  4. 04If it began after a firmware update, roll back to the stable build

Infotainment freeze or black screen

Centre display unresponsive, car otherwise drives normally.

  1. 01Hold the power/volume reset combination for 15 seconds to soft-restart the head unit
  2. 02Lock the car and leave it asleep for 20 minutes to force a module sleep cycle
  3. 03Avoid pulling the 12V unless a workshop instructs you to
  4. 04Log the time and conditions — recurring freezes need an ECU scan

Service network by chapter

  • Dubai, UAE

Two independent EV specialists handle diagnostics and HV work on imported Chinese EVs.

  • Riyadh, KSA

Members report reliable bodywork and suspension parts sourcing, 2–4 week lead times.

  • Doha, Qatar

One workshop stocks common wear items; anything HV is scheduled ahead.

  • Kuwait / Bahrain / Oman

Smaller networks — members usually coordinate parts shipments together.
